Communicative and effective or boring and useless?

Articles and opinion pieces have been around since what feels like forever, so what really is the point of an article? Can we really trust what a stranger says to influence our right of an opinion?

I’m going to be discussing the two articles surrounding the issue of ball-tampering in cricket. The first one (right) was published by ABC News by the author Daryl Adair, associate professor of Sports Management at UTS Business School. The second opinion piece (left) was published by The Guardian and written by Simon Jenkins, Guardian Columnist.
